Whatever the question, love is the answer...

LET US SHARE IN THIS TIME OF UNCERTAINTY: Keeping the Candle Lit

Dear fellows, dreamers, healers, creators, mothers, fathers and friends-

I have a thought, an idea. And it comes out the place I am in and from the words of Joachim Francis. The source of the idea is my present situation of being out of work, and sometimes out of hope. Yet, with a world screaming uncertainty and fear, I choose to focus on where I am going. I choose what I desire, what I dream, and the things that I know I am here to be. I want to hear from you, the people of our community, about how you are 'keeping the candle lit' in this time we are all in. Whether it's being out of work, money, joy, or retirement funds, I WANT US TO TAKE OUR VISIONS AND CREATE A MONUMENT OF HOPE AND LOVE! It will be through our words, through our sharing, so please read on, and please be generous enough to share of YOUR wisdom.

So, briefly, here is where I am now: at a crossroads of sorts. My day-job (carpentry and remodeling) has slowed immensely, to being mostly out of work. What's woken up in me is what I want life to be. I've been associating with a business team that teaches and mentors people to create a secondary source of income in their spare time via marketing and coaching others. I say this because I've lived for the last year or so, without doing much with this part-time business, and without really cultivating my future, or my direction. My focus has been scattered, my decisions lost in procrastination, and my vision waning.

Now though, is a line in the sand. And I have the current economy and uncertainty to gloriously thank! It's perfect! My vision--for being free of the constraints of the dollar bill, to be able to give generously to family, charities, to travel, to write and perform poetry, songs, and to teach workshops, to coach people to have freedom and joy in their lives, to live my life with a focus and purpose, with confidence, conviction and clarity, these are the things of my vision.

Nevertheless, these 'visions' must be mixed with reality and tempered by commitment. So now, before all of you, my commitments, for without things set down in the juicy grit of reality it's all just a few nice thoughts on a blog.

1. I will begin today to put up vision reminders around my living spaces. (Photos, quotes, etc. that remind me of these visions)
2. I will finish my resume and cover letter by Thursday, April 2nd, at 11am.
3. I will schedule creative/visioning times to do that which feeds that fire (a big part of my vision). These will be
2-3 times p/week.
4. I will write down, by tomorrow night, a vision statement for my life, and share it my business mentor, Naila Francis, my father, and Dylan Clements.
5. I will make two call per day to further my business development.

And importantly: I commit to keeping an empowering context, or to keep the light lit, even if I miss a commitment or fall short. In those moments especially I will recall my vision, and my commitment to be an unstoppable stand for the human spirit, and to be nothing less than love unleashed. In all things-all ways.

Please, if you relate to this, or have your own experiences to share in a turbulent economic time, please do!!

Much love and blissings-
Zane

Hi Zane,

What you are doing is fantastic and i can relate to it in my own way.

For many years now i have not been eating correctly, i have been starving myself through the day and only eating one large meal at night after work. This really upset my body, my sleep and how i felt about myself. I had no energy and had excess fat which lowered my confidence in myself.
Recently however i was reading a very good book about healthy nutrition and exercise to lower body fat percentage and increase lean body mass. The first chapter of this book was all about goal setting and motivation for oneself. It was applied to weight and health but when reading it I noticed how it could be applied to all aspects of life. I followed the books advice and now plan daily new goals for myself and my health. I am happy to report that the results have spoken for themselves. I am happier, healthier and much more confident than ever before. This in turn makes me a more loving person.

I send you good intentions and my strength to hold your hand in maintaining your goals and aspirations. Specially the smoking, good health is paramount!

Love and Hugs,
Martin x

CHECK THIS OUT! Here's a video by James Arthur Ray that speaks exactly to what we are. He talks about visioning, and creating your life versus reacting to it. Powerful. Check it out, it's 7 minutes of worthwhile time...very worthwhile! Here's the site address, copy and paste it with no spaces, all one line:

To those who read, and esp. to my self-

I'm adding this to update you all, moreso to keep myself in check w/ my commitments. I've started the vision/image posting around my house. I've made some calls, and have made progress on some work, but have not kept the commitments of 2 calls p/day. I have NOT finished my resume or created a written vision/goal plan for my life. I will do these by Sunday am, and will schedule time to do them ('hear that Zane? hear that self?!' ... good).

I have scheduled creative times AND I am quitting smoking. That's the biggie! I'm in withdrawal mode and using the community I have around me to get support. It's tough, and it's also time. I'm not sure if I can do it all the time, hell, most of the time. But I'm going forward. Smoking no longer fits with who I am, and I'm no longer tolerating it.

And that's that. Thanks!

Thank you Carolyn! I will take the 'past achievement' reminders and use them as well. Great ideas! It just sparked another for me, that I can actually post future achievements with the past achievements, and begin the creation of having and being those things now. A few good thoughts to apply. Much appreciated!
See you Sunday!

Hi Zane, I found your post tonight and was very inspired, so THANK YOU!! Your list of 5 commitments is very similar to my own, but I didn't have the courage to write them down in this way,,,so thanks for that too. Perhaps I will do the same. I posted the vision reminders around my office and they speak to me every day. Also, my "coach" suggested making an inspiration altar for meditation. The altar can have anything you want on it...for inspiration. She suggested photos of past work you're proud of, or any acheivements in your lifetime, as well as photos of loved ones, mentors, etc. I am still composing my altar, it's very fun. Love and more love later, brother. Hope to see you Sunday. Note the venue change. -Carolyn

I share this vibration. The procratistination...the being small and not serving at all. I have reached out and stepped in.
I am the vision I am to be.
I am the vibration that sets forth the fire of truth. Your flame ignights my torch to spread the fire of the Almighty light throughout creation. Thank you for ignighting my torch.
