Right now, take a deep breath and--just for 5 seconds--create a moment of stillness.
Dear Spirit,
Become still, and remain aware of this stillness even when you are surrounded by drama; another reality surrounds the craziness. Breathe, and sense a glorious stillness cuddling each and every moment. As long as we remain aware, the drama, to which our egos are tempted to respond, will not take over. We will continue to observe our lives from a place of stillness and purpose. Stillness doesn’t necessarily refer to the absence of noise; it refers to the absence of thought. It is in that state of mind when we experience nirvana.
Make a habit of stepping into this other reality throughout your days--5 seconds at a time: when you wake up, sit down for a meal, pick up the phone, have a meeting, and before you order a piece a cake... Stillness helps to keep your life focused on what you came here to do. It helps you remain conscious--5 seconds at a time.
