Common Ground

Whatever the question, love is the answer...

There are many kinds of families that we seem to experience in this life. There's our Blood family, our Spiritual family, our Community family, our Work family, our Friendship family and many other kinds of families. All of these families are relationships that the humankind needs to sustain ourselves and truly experience life to its fullest.

Sometimes these families run together. No matter what, once we connect, we are always connected even if through memories. Of course, families move and we often times grow and move away from a member of one of these families.

I was friends with a woman I have known since I was a teenager. We were like sisters. For some reason, she and I were not in each others lives for over ten years. Suddenly, as Spirit would have it, she needed to get a message to me about a mutual friend's transition.

So you see, we reconnected and the friendship was never lost. This friendship is not the same as it was before, it is better because we both bring more awareness to the friendship.

One of the families that I miss is my Spiritual family because we are going through a challenge of not having a physical space to fellowship together. Knowing that I am always connected in all relationships, I knew there would be a way to express our love for each other. We are meeting virtually through teleconferences. Also, my Choir family has joined voices with the Common Ground family which makes it possible for us to see each other and once again raise our voices in song expressing Spirit. Common Ground family has blessed us at the Center of Peace in many ways. Thank you Common Ground family. I am happy to be part of your family/community.
