When we all agreed to use the Star+Gate cards (something like Tarot cards) at the June salon, we had no idea what was in store for us. Each person chose a topic or life issue to explore for clarity. We had no idea how "blindly" choosing two cards would result in insight. But wow! I was touched by the relevant way that people got involved without judging to help each other.
A gentle presence arose in the space as people stepped forward to
work and play with their questions. Participants offered lots of gentle support and encouragement. And people were right on with their original insights. Most of us didn't know each other well, and I wasn't sure what my topic was, but I soon felt comfortable enough to step forward and participate.
With "aha" moments, laughter and synchronicity (a yummy chocolate cake emerged from the kitchen at the same time that someone drew the "cake" card), we plunged into something most of us had not done before. There were common themes about finding more aligned work opportunities, becoming comfortable with "letting go," making space for what's emerging, and initiating the new.
The food that participants contributed was a metaphor for the evening. Lots of heart went into the creating of a sumptuous feast. And it all fit together as if carefully planned.
The party was called for 6:30 - 10:00. It's 11:00, and here I am writing my first blog post in my life with half the salon standing around me helping this become a joint effort.... It takes a village... This one is definitely worth visiting.
