- About Me
- I have been singing & hand drumming for much of my life. One of my favorite things about music is having the gift to facilitate it to others.
I host improvisational music & vocal gatherings at my home in Wyndmoor on a weekly basis, as well as African Drum Classes.
After 27 years, one of my favorite places to play "out" is still the Fri. night Group Motion workshop.
I love playing home grown in the moment compositions, especially with my amazing community of friends. My musical expression has been inspired by many artists. Cellist, David Darling & vocalist Bobby McFerrin are at the top of the list. The "Listening Book" Discovering Your Own Music by W. A. Mathieu is my favorite read. The most electrifying Djembe (African drum) player I have ever been around is my very 1st teacher, Sanga of the Valley who was lead drummer for Babatunde Olatunji's Drums of Passion and is the present lead for Gabrielle Roth and the Mirrors. I am thrilled to be presenting Sanga at my next Underground at Ron's house concert series on the evening of March 12.
