I have always heard the expression "tree hugger" used in a connotation that was less than flattering. While hiking today I stopped my a creek to pray. As I prayed I placed my hand on the tree next to me and focused on the energy coming from it's roots. I got a message of sadness from the earth. The earth was weeping.
