A Celebration of the Global Heart
The Common Ground Fellowship is an inclusive community where people of all world views, religions, races and cultures can come together in sacred space to learn from each other and cultivate a deeper understanding of the divinity and inter-connectedness of all life. Our purpose is to explore and celebrate the underlying universal principles that are at the core of the world’s diverse religions, philosophies and spiritual teachings. It is our intention to nurture new models of being together in community based on unconditional love and a sense of social response-ability as global citizens.
Monthly Celebrations
a Common Ground hosts monthly multicultural interfaith gatherings in the Philadelphia area, on the first Sunday of every month from 3:30 PM to 5:15 PM. Each month features a theme exploring the essence of a selected universal spiritual principle. Meetings include inspirational readings, live music, short talks and a time for inner reflection. There is an optional guided meditation from 3:00 to 3:20 PM. Following the meeting all are welcome to gather and enjoy an array of healthy foods and beverages, available for purchase from select vendors.
Guest Speakers
Speakers have included Buddhist meditation master, Bhante Wimala: world religions scholar Rev. Charles Brown; Sufi peace advocate Jonathan Granoff, Tibetan scholar and master artist Venerable Losang Samten, Presbyterian minister Patricia Pierce Jewish Renewal Rabbi Marcia Prager and Philosopher Ashok Gangadeen.
