I was planning to lead a hike in the Wissahickon in the fall and it was rained out... Mark organized it. It does sound like a good idea to do some planning for the spring -- who's up for that? Alternatively, I usually go hike in the Wissahickon many Saturdays around 11 AM or Sundays around 1 PM for a couple hours (weather permitting). If this interests you, reach out a few days in advance and maybe we can do it together....

Are outings on hold until the Spring? I haven't heard of any activity for a long time. I've been listing this in the monthly program ("check the website for details about our next event"), but as far as I can tell nothing's happening. ??

Nuturing Nature is my experience of growing closer to god. This one of few conduits to spirit .Experiencing the beauty from nature creates a feeling of stepping outside of self. When I am in nature some senses are enhanced or feel more awake. Hopefully I will be able to share some of the events with other community memebers.

Ed, I don't believe anyone was taking pictures that day.... the weather was warm but not too hot, the domain varied & spring-green excellent....maybe I'll offer it again another time. Rich

Terrific photos, allowed me to relive the wonderful day. I posted several blogs entries on yesterday's hike, including the reading I did at the beginning. Go to the Blogs tab above and click on the tab for naturenurture

Loved the hike, Mark! Great pics, Martin. Any way to feature them on this group page?

What is Common Ground?

Common Ground Fellowship is an inclusive community based in the greater Philadelphia area where people of all world views, religions, races and cultures come together in sacred space to explore and celebrate underlying universal principles that are at the core of the world’s diverse religions, philosophies and spiritual teachings. We nurture new models of being together in community based on unconditional love and a sense of social response-ability as global citizens. To learn more, see the Common Ground Credo.
