Event Description

A day-long retreat guided by Poet Susan Windle –
For people who enjoy

* being in the woods with heightened attention
* writing and/or drawing
* silence and solitude
* the soulful companionship of others

We will begin the day with a Writing Circle: writing in our journals and listening to one another’s voices, as well as to poetry chosen by Susan to inspire and delight. For four hours in the middle of the day we will wander on our own in the woods, with access to the indoor space as needed. We'll spend this time in silence, attending to our experiences of the woods as closely as we have attended to our own and one another’s voices. The day will close with another Writing Circle, adding the voices and visions of the woods into our communal mix. If drawing is your preferred medium, bring art materials. We can do that, too!

Saturday, April 10, 2010 l 9AM-5PM.
Gathering at a house near the Valley Green section of the Wissahickon.
Limited to 10 people. An all-weather event!
Sliding Scale $50-100. $25 deposit by April 3 reserves your space.
