Hi,
Some of you may want to explore taking this home to your community. The Transition Towns movement already broke in the NY TImes as a new American phenomenon. It's a powerful grassroots tool to bring sustainability and resilience to your township or boro.
A program on the extraordinary Transition Town movement that's beginning to sweep across America will be hosted by the Johnsville Centrifuge Museum in Warminster on Friday, August 14 at 7 PM in the Astronauts Auditorium. The Transition movement seeks to prepare communities for the dual challenges of climate change and peak oil.
This month's program features an exclusive new video interview with Jennifer Gray, Co-founder of Transition US, and clips of Transition founder Rob Hopkins. The discussion will be lead by a representative from Warminster Township's Environmental Advisory Council and the ECLA PA.
Those arriving at 6 PM will have an opportunity to take a brief tour of the new Centrifuge Museum. The entire facility is undergoing "green" renovations.
The museum is located at 780 Falcon Circle in Warminster, PA. Enter from Jacksonville Road and Johnsville Blvd. Use tower with radar dome as landmark. Admission is free. For information and directions call 267.992.8020.
