Spirit Awakening - One Woman Play
Greenshire welcomes Akuyoe Graham, film and TV actor, writer and creator of Spirit Awakening, a foundation designed to work with young people, inspiring them to find their voice and waken their spirit. Akuyoe will be hosting workshops and also a special performance for the general public at Strayer Middle School in Quakertown, with guest folk artist, Tony Bird.

The mission of the Spirit Awakening foundation is to help teens and youth in the realization of their spiritual identity, and to create and produce inspirational stories of transformation for the screen, stage and television. Akuyoe was born in Ghana, educated in London, and studied theater improvisation in Manhattan. She presently lives in Los Angeles where she performs as an exceptionally accomplished artist, lifting the solo genre to heights rarely reached.

Tony Bird of South African origin is one of the truly great folk artists of our era. Tony’s skill with language ranks him among the best poetic lyric writer in the English language, enriched by his beautiful African vocabulary, accent and cadence. In this dynamic performance Tony delivers thoughts, stories and philosophy that are deeply humanistic, and touches the heart of all.
