It's the season of light, when the sun rolls its way back to our part of the hemisphere. In its absence we're so reminded of its value in our lives and its metaphor for Truth, Growth and Understanding. Come and gather with us as we move into a celebration with music, wisdom, and hope.
Rabbi Michael Shevack, our speaker for December, has been asked to BRING LIGHT. So, he’s is bringing us the beginning of what he hopes will be a SPIRITUAL Stimulus Plan to help heal America, the World and Ourselves. His plan addresses a great need for removing all the false-opposites that are tearing us apart. Michael Shevack is a leader in inter-religious dialog and specializes in teaching spirituality and the experience of God. He has been active within today’s popular New Age communities. Prior to his ordination, Michael Shevack was a Madison Avenue Creative Director. He created some of the biggest campaigns in the world, including the still-running "Gillette. The Best a Man Can Get." Shevack has dedicated himself to helping religious groups and worthy non-profit organizations create their identity and discover their voice. He continues to work with the Center for Inter-religious Understanding and is the founder of the Adam & Eve Institute for Spiritual Marriage.
Sunday's gathering will also feature a special music program based on this month's theme by Stephen Wise, Rhetta Morgan with the Common Ground Choir, and Dan Kleiman leading the rocking Common Ground Band.
Following the main program, there will be our usual community fellowship hour with a delicious light vegetarian dinner available for purchase from Spirit Foods.
