Rabbi Michael Shevack, founder of the Adam & Eve Institute for Spiritual Marriage, is our speaker for February and will speak to us on the theme of love.
We hope you will come and gather with us as we move into a celebration with music, wisdom, and hope.
Michael Shevack is a leader in inter-religious dialog, who has worked with Catholics, Protestants, Muslims and others, all around the world, to bring about mutual respect and understanding. He also specializes in teaching spirituality and the experience of God and has been active within today’s popular New Age communities.
Shevack also been been a counselor to numerous corporations and CEOs, showing them a spiritual approach to improving their bottom line and organizing their companies. His column on Spirituality and Business, appeared in Success Magazine.
Prior to his ordination, Michael Shevack was a Madison Avenue Creative Director. He created some of the biggest campaigns in the world, including the still-running "Gillette. The Best a Man Can Get." He won many national and international awards, including the coveted Cannes Film Festival lion, for his work on Apple.
Shevack has dedicated himself to helping religious groups and worthy non-profit organizations create their identity and discover their voice. He continues to work with the Center for Inter-religious Understanding, in Englewood New Jersey.
Fellowship
Following the main program, there will be our usual community fellowship hour from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM with a delicious light vegetarian dinner available for purchase from Spirit Foods.
Kids
Remember that we now offer a children’s program for 5-12 year olds. It's more than daycare, and it's universal, not from any one particular religious tradition. The primary text of the program is “The Family Virtues Guide” – covering 52 virtues (such as courage, honest, hope, love) geared towards kids and families. The cost is $10 per family, payable at the beginning of each program. Scholarships are available.
