April's Theme: "Spiritual Ecology"

It’s Springtime! As we approach Earth Day 2009 our April Sacred Space theme turns to Spiritual Ecology. What would it look like for humankind to live in balance with the Earth?

Ed Lantz takes a look at good ecology in nature and in consciousness. Ed is trained as a scientist and interfaith minister, and he seeks to integrate ancient wisdom with the latest findings of science.

Guest musician Nadine Bergeron will treat us to her beautiful voice and Native American flute.

Joni Carley will weave our themes together, and the Common Ground Choir and House Band will engulf us in waves of musical bliss.

Common Ground provides a monthly tithe to a charitable organization. This month’s recipient will be The Philadelphia Society for Art, Literature & Music (P.S.A.L.M.)

Following the Sacred Space Celebration, there will be our usual community fellowship hour from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM with a delicious light vegetarian dinner available for purchase from Spirit Foods. Our children are welcome to enjoy the Sacred Space Celebration.

Come join us in loving fellowship!

Every being is part of some larger being, and as such its self-interest must be tempered by the interests of the larger being to which it belongs. Thus mutual consistency works itself out everywhere in nature. ~ Elisabet Sahtouris
