Immaculee Ilibagiza is a noted author, speaker, and a UN Representative working for social justice. She is appearing at the brand new Mirenda Center on the campus of Neumann University in Aston, PA.. This event is co-sponsored by the Franciscan Spiritual Center.
Immaculee’s story of surviving the Rwandan Holocaust (over 500,000 people were massacred in 1994) has been documented in her autobiography, Left To Tell.
Immaculee believes that she was spared by hiding in a small bathroom with 7 women and children for 91 days so she could tell others her story. Her early years were filled with loving memories of village life with her parents and three brothers. While at University, the massacres began and what she witnessed was unbelievable. She lost nearly everyone in her family and village. In spite of all that has happened to her, her message is one of forgiveness and faith, and her delivery is filled with love.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. There will be a book signing after the event. Please order your tickets NOW (call FSC at 610-558-6152 or email fsc@osfphia.org.
