Gratitude and Connection

Experience a short video of how the unselfconscious gratitude of one 14-year old girl created a ripple of giving, culminating in a virtual choir of over 2000, from 120 countries (click the image to see an excerpt).  Together we'll respond to the stunning beauty of this inspiring story of connection -- in silence, movement, song and word.  What is your story of a simple act that led to a ripple of giving?

Music and Movement

Much of our experience of spiritual connection seeks expression beyond words.  Come be transformed by the healing music of Stephen Wise and the band, and the Common Ground choir.

Free movement, led by our own Lara Vracarich, is evolving into a prominent element of our celebrations.  Come find joy and peace in reconnecting with the physical.  You can participate or witness others, as works best for you.

Community Feast

In honor of Thanksgiving, join us for an inspirational feast, featuring traditional and vegan thanksgiving fare.  We'll provide the main dishes, and we ask you bring the rest.  Sign up today to bring a side dish, drink or dessert.

We see the feast as a continuation of the theme of gratitude and connection.  Come experience community, nourishment and fun at its finest.

Our Children

While the Adults are celebrating, the children will participate in their own experiential learning along the theme of gratitude and connection.  All 5-12 year olds are welcome. It's more than daycare, and it's universal, not from any one particular religious tradition. The primary text of the program is “The Family Virtues Guide” – covering 52 virtues (such as courage, honest, hope, love) geared towards kids and families. This text is part of the Family Virtues Project.  The cost is $10 per family, payable at the beginning of each program. Scholarships are available.

Megan, yes there really is a program for kids 5-12. We want to make it possible for people with children to be able to attend events as well. This Sunday it should be a special event, with some nice community time afterwards. Hope you can make it!
