GILGAMESH

Circle of Stones Ritual Theatre Ensemble presents their highly anticipated production of Gilgamesh. This tremendous and transformational theatre experience is about the revitalization of the Queen City, Allentown. The original adaptation of the Sumerian legend has a cast of 35 professional and local actors, singers and dancers. It is directed by award-winning director Steven Dennis, an Assistant Professor of Performing and Fine Arts at DeSales University, and an Artistic Associate with the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. This play is the culmination of three years of research and development and is funded by the generous support of The Alliance for Sustainable Communities, Amaranth Foundation, Holt Family Foundation, The Kairos Trust, The One With the Earth Project, the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts, The Rider-Pool Foundation, Tom Moroz, the Open Society Institute (as a matching grant), WDIY, PPL, Olympus and Zion's UCC Church . www.circleofstones.org
