Flooding and Storms is the topic at the monthly Warminster Environmental Advisory Council's Video - Speaker Discussion co-sponsored by the Doylestown Borough EAC.
Hurricane Season is in full swing. Changes in climate cause us to have more rain in fewer storms. This means that areas prone to flooding will feel more impacts. What can we do about this costly and dangerous situation? What helps make it better, and what makes flooding worse? Could you be a part of the problem? Expert answers to these questions and more will be found at Wednesday's Video-Speaker Discussion in Warminster.
Our guest speaker this month will be the distinguished Frank X. Browne, PhD.
Dr. Browne, a nationally recognized authority on stormwater, brings over 35 years of experience in environmental planning, low impact green development and innovative stormwater management.
Winner of numerous awards, Browne is also an adjunct professor in the Villanova University Graduate School of Civil and Environmental Engineering where he teaches courses in urban stormwater management and lake, stream and wetlands ecology.
Admission is free. For information: 267.992.8020 or (215) 443-5414.
