Personally, I'm less into generalized talk and more into finding something fun to do that still provides food for thought afterward--movie, play, musical performance, bowling, tromping around to see holiday lights or carol, whatever. Maybe it's because I teach this stuff so am always surrounded by meditation and good discussion; but for myself when at leisure, I'd rather be enjoying what spirit has to offer rather than (or perhaps before) sitting around to talk about it.

Ideas for Salon: Brief meditation, topic or theme for each meeting, read something on topic/theme, group discussion/sharing, light refreshments. Topics might include decision making, problem solving, creativity, forgiveness, rituals, forms of meditation, joy, friendship, consciousness, channeling, fund raising, humor, time management, Zen, respect, communication, etc.

I would be there in a heart beat, but I do have Sach on Sundays, and I know this would be more appropriate if I were alone; unless there was a way I still could attend...
