Many of us live with the constant “self-talk” of a harsh Inner Critic that holds us hostage to negativity. The critic’s voice can thwart spontaneity, limit freedom of expression and create guilt for what we have said and done. While the critic’s voice may be strong, it can be quieted.
This workshop is designed to teach a model for transforming the Inner Critic’s voice into one of an encouraging and compassionate Inner Coach. It will help you to:
• Understand how and why your Inner Critic became so powerful
• Learn mindfulness strategies to counter the critic’s voice
• Practice effective techniques for constructive “self talk”
• Explore revelations from neuroscience about how to get free from self-sabotaging brain patterns
Through guided meditations, experiential exercises and interactive demonstrations, this workshop will help you to reach into the depth of your soul, open your heart, & uncover a nonjudgmental, compassionate inner voice. You will transform your relationship with yourself and return home empowered to take steps for successfully moving beyond your Inner Critic.
This workshop is designed for the general public. PSCSW offers ce credits for participants who are Pennsylvania social workers
